Two choices define the format: whether partners rotate and when future matchups are decided.

01

ROTATE PARTNERS · PREDEFINED ROUNDS

Americano

Players rotate partners through a predefined schedule. Every player collects their own tournament points across the rounds.

Best for
Social groups that want everyone to mix and play with different partners.
Key mechanic
The schedule is known before play starts, so organizers can see every round and court assignment from the beginning.

02

FIXED PARTNERS · PREDEFINED ROUNDS

Team Americano

Pairs stay together for the whole tournament while the event follows a predefined round schedule.

Best for
Groups that want the predictability of Americano while keeping established pairs together.
Key mechanic
Results contribute to one team standing instead of separate player standings.

ROTATE PARTNERS · GENERATED FROM STANDINGS

Mexicano

Players rotate partners, but future matchups are generated from the accumulated standings after the current round is complete.

Best for
Groups that want matchups to become more competitive as the tournament develops.
Key mechanic
The next round does not exist until the current round is complete. A result correction can therefore change later generated matchups.

FIXED PARTNERS · GENERATED FROM STANDINGS

Team Mexicano

Teams stay together while future rounds are generated from the current team standings.

Best for
Fixed pairs that want ranking-driven opponents instead of a fully predefined schedule.
Key mechanic
The structure adapts round by round, while ranking remains team-based throughout the tournament.

MORE PLAYERS THAN COURT CAPACITY?

One round. One match per court.

Each round uses the courts that are available. With two courts, up to eight players play while everyone else rests for that round.

ONE WORKFLOW

The format changes. The organizer workflow stays clear.

  1. 01

    Choose the format

Pick the partner and round-generation model that fits the group.

  2. 02

    Add players and courts

Set the participant list and how many courts are available.

  3. 03

    Run the rounds

Follow assignments and enter results without managing a spreadsheet.

  4. 04

    Keep standings current

Ranking and tournament progress stay connected to completed results.

  5. 05

    Share the tournament

Give spectators one browser link for scores, matches and standings.

Need to fix a result? Corrections stay explicit. In Mexicano formats, correcting a result can regenerate future matchups so standings and upcoming rounds stay accurate.

PUBLIC LIVE

The tournament does not stop at the organizer’s phone.

Share one live link for scores, standings and results. Spectators need no account and no app.
