How can we help?

Clear help for Padel Tempo on iPhone, Apple Watch, Android, Wear OS and Garmin. Still need help? Send us a message.

iPhone and Apple Watch

Use these steps to adjust settings on your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Why does a swing take me back to the Apple Watch face?

Apple Watch can treat a swing as Wrist Flick and leave Padel Tempo for the watch face. On the watch, open Settings, tap Gestures, and turn Wrist Flick off. Padel Tempo cannot change that setting.

Why does Apple Workout cover the score during a match?

If Apple’s Workout app is recording at the same time, Return to App can put that workout in front of the score. On Apple Watch, open Settings, tap General, tap Return to Clock, scroll to Workout, then turn Return to App off. You can do the same in the iPhone Watch app under My Watch, General, Return to Clock, Workout. Padel Tempo does not start that workout and cannot change the switch.

How do I keep a dimmed score on Apple Watch when my wrist is down?

On Apple Watch models that support it, Always On can keep a dimmed score visible while your wrist is lowered. On the watch, open Settings, tap Display & Brightness, and turn Always On on. Padel Tempo cannot change that setting.

Why does the score disappear soon after I lower my wrist?

Return to Clock controls how long Padel Tempo stays in front. On the watch, open Settings, tap General, tap Return to Clock, tap Padel Tempo, tap Custom, then choose 1 hour. Padel Tempo cannot change that setting.

How do I stop calls and messages from covering the score?

Turn on a Focus or Do Not Disturb so calls, messages, mail, and other apps do not cover the score. On iPhone, open Settings, tap Focus, and choose a Focus or Do Not Disturb. Turn Share Across Devices on so the same setting reaches your Apple Watch. In that Focus, turn Repeated Calls and Time Sensitive Notifications off if you want no calls and no urgent alerts. Padel Tempo cannot turn on Focus for you.

How do I stop Apple Watch activity alerts during a match?

Apple Watch can show coaching, goals, and Activity alerts on court. Switch names can change between watchOS versions. On the watch, open Settings, then tap Activity. Or on iPhone open the Watch app, tap My Watch, then tap Activity. Turn off Daily Coaching and any other Activity alerts you do not want while you play. Padel Tempo cannot change those settings.

How do I make the iPhone score announcements clearer?

By default the iPhone speaks the score. In Padel Tempo, open Settings, tap Voice, and pick a voice. A Premium or Enhanced system voice is easier to hear than the default. To download one, on iPhone open Settings, tap Accessibility, tap Read & Speak, tap Voices, choose the language, then download a Premium or Enhanced voice. Return to Padel Tempo and choose that voice under Voice. Padel Tempo does not download a system voice for you.

Can Apple Watch announce scores through its speaker?

No. The watch speaker never reads the score. In Padel Tempo, open Settings, tap Voice, turn Voice announcements on, then set Play on to Apple Watch. On the watch, open Settings, tap Bluetooth, and connect a speaker or headphones to the watch, not to the iPhone. Without that Bluetooth device, the announcement stays silent. Padel Tempo cannot pair a Bluetooth device for you.

Android and Wear OS

Use these steps to adjust settings on your Android phone or Wear OS watch.

Why does a swing wake my Wear OS watch during a rally?

Tilt-to-wake — sometimes named Raise wrist to wake — can wake the watch from a swing. On the watch, open Settings. The switch is often under Gestures or Display. Turn it off. The name depends on the watch. Padel Tempo cannot change that setting.

Why does another workout app cover the score?

A sport app that is already recording can cover the Padel Tempo score. Wear OS has no single switch named Return to App. Stop that recording before the match, or leave that app’s own return-to-watch setting as you prefer. Padel Tempo does not start the other app and cannot change its settings.

How do I keep a dimmed score on Wear OS when my wrist is down?

On a watch that has it, turn Always-on display on — some watches call it Always-on screen. Open Settings, tap Display, then turn it on. Padel Tempo already draws that dimmed score when the watch allows it. Battery saver, bedtime, and theater mode can turn always-on off again. Padel Tempo cannot change those settings.

Why does the score return to the watch face so quickly?

After you lower your wrist, many Wear OS watches return to the watch face in minutes, not one hour. On the watch, open Settings, tap Display, then Show last app or Screen timeout, and choose the longest time the watch offers. The name depends on the watch. Padel Tempo already posts an ongoing match, so you can return to the score from the watch face. The screen is not kept fully lit for the whole match.

How do I stop calls and notifications from covering the score?

Turn on Do Not Disturb so calls and notifications do not cover the score. Do that in phone Settings, or from the watch quick settings. Whether the same mode reaches the watch depends on the phone. Padel Tempo cannot turn on Do Not Disturb for you.

How do I stop activity alerts during a match?

The watch can show coaching, goals, and activity alerts. Switch names change between watches and system versions. Open the health or activity settings on the watch, or the phone’s companion app for that watch, and turn off the alerts you do not want on court. Padel Tempo cannot change those settings.

How do I make Android score announcements clearer?

The phone speaks the score. In Padel Tempo, open Settings, tap Voice, and pick a voice. To add a clearer system voice, open the phone Settings, find Text-to-speech output, and download a higher-quality voice for your language. Menu names depend on the phone. Return to Padel Tempo and choose that voice under Voice. Padel Tempo does not download a system voice for you.

Garmin

Connect and manage compatible Garmin watches through Garmin Connect.

Why do I need Garmin Connect?

Garmin Connect is required. Padel Tempo uses it to see watches you have shared. If Garmin Connect is not installed, install it first, then return to Padel Tempo.

Why can’t I see my Garmin watch in Padel Tempo?

Watches appear only after they are shared from Garmin Connect. In Padel Tempo, set up Garmin and share the watch from Garmin Connect. Until a watch is shared, Padel Tempo cannot list it.

What if my Garmin watch does not confirm the match start?

Send the same start again, or play on the phone. Padel Tempo cannot force the watch to confirm a start that the watch did not accept.

Does recording a Garmin match create a sport activity?

Recording keeps one Garmin sport activity. When you choose to record, Padel Tempo records the match and can save that activity in Garmin Connect.

Common questions

Help with scoring, tournaments, Premium, Public Live, and unreliable internet.

What is Classic Match in Padel Tempo?

Classic Match is a padel match with tennis-style scoring: games, sets, deuce and advantage or Golden Point, tie-breaks, server tracking, and undo when a point needs correcting. You can score from a connected watch or from the phone.

How does Americano work in Padel Tempo?

Americano uses a predefined round schedule. You can run Americano and Team Americano. Team Americano keeps fixed pairs together instead of rotating partners. Padel Tempo keeps courts, scores, and standings organized.

How does Mexicano work in Padel Tempo?

Mexicano generates later rounds from the current standings after the current round is complete, so matchups become more competitive as the event progresses. Team Mexicano keeps fixed teams together and uses the team ranking. Because later rounds depend on current results, correcting a result can also change later generated matchups.

How are courts, rest, and standings managed?

A round uses the courts that are actually available, with no more than one match per court. Players who do not fit into that round rest. Completed results feed the standings, including points and the win-draw-loss record used by the format. Match and tournament history stays organized after play.

How do Premium and Restore Purchases work?

Premium is the in-app subscription. Restore Purchases is in the app so Apple or Google can restore a previous purchase on the same store account. Payment is handled by Apple or Google. If Restore Purchases does not return Premium, send us a message with the store account you used.

Can people follow a match without installing the app?

Yes. Public Live gives spectators one browser link and does not require an app or an account. Classic Matches can update point by point, while tournament pages show published match results, standings, progress, and final results as the organizer updates them. Anyone with the link can view it — it is not a public searchable listing.

Can I keep scoring without an internet connection?

Scoring is designed with a local-first core, so the match on the phone remains useful when connectivity is unreliable. Internet access is still required to publish and receive Public Live updates, so spectators may see the latest valid published state until the connection recovers.
